Pokemon Scarlet and Violet originally launched in 2022 for Nintendo Switch, and mark the ninth generation of Pokemon games. They introduced players to a host of new Pokemon, including the starter Pokemon Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly. They are notable as the first mainline titles in the series to feature a fully open world.

The two-part The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC expansion continues the storyline of the base games with new characters, explorable locations, and Pokemon--including the elusive Blood Moon Ursaluna and all starter Pokemon from previous generations. The first part The Teal Mask was released on September 13, while part two The Indigo Mask is planned to drop sometime this winter.
